TV shows for babies

I have been inspired by one of our friend's toddler.  She is so SMART! She is not even two and she can spell words like "rocket."  She learns from playing with educational toys and letters and watching educational tv programs.  I would like Ethan to watch things like this... instead of all of my favorites (Bravo, TLC, HGTV.)

When she came to visit "WordWorld" was her favorite and I really enjoyed it as well. I am one of the 3 billion people that google every day... so I googled best educational tv programs for children and this is what I found.

Top 10
  1. Sesame Street
  2. Mister Rogers Neighborhood
  3. Reading Rainbow
  4. Magic School Bus
  5. Schoolhouse Rock
  6. Bill Nye the science guy
  7. 3-2-1 Contact
  8. Electric Company
  9. Between the Lions
  10. Cyberchase
I am not even sure if all of these are still on the air, but most of them are of course PBS/ETV programs.  I guess we will be watching a lot of ETV for the next 10 years! What are your favorites??? Which ones do you enjoy with your children?

My baby is 2 Months old!

Where has all the time gone?!? He is growing so fast! Ethan was born May 27, 2011 at 7:41pm.  He was 21 inches long and weighed 8lbs 5oz.  I can not believe my baby is already 2 months old and almost 14lbs! He changes everyday right before our eyes.  I love him more than I ever imagined! Thank God for my precious baby boy!

My BFF and fabulous nurse Jessica!

My birthing team- my wonderful Dr. Morton, Duala Vicki, and Nurse/BFF Jessica
They did a fabulous job!
And the PROUD Daddy!

The new shoes!

Since I have really skinny feet and ankles, it is really hard for me to find a tennis shoe that fits and doesn't look ridiculous.  I looked and looked and finally decided on these! Even the husband likes them! And even better- I got them in the kids size and saved some money! I love having a size 7 1/2 foot! Bless them because they are PINK!

Wineattizers

Wineattizers is our girl time once a month to get together with some wine and food and let loose!  So glad I was finally able to get out of the house for some adult time.  It was a huge success; Ethan had a lot of fun; met some great new ladies; and had some quality time with old friends! Ethan and I stayed out past our bedtime but it sure was worth it! And not to mention, most of the girls are professional bloggers... so maybe I'll pick up some blogging tips along the way. Can't wait til the next time!
